FAQ's

How many will be in my group?

Our courses/sessions will have a maximum of 12 candidates per trainer however, during COVID-19 these numbers may need to be reduced due to social distancing.

Where will the course take place?

We offer open courses throughout the year at multiple locations in Suffolk however, we can also offer training courses in-house at your place of work or another facility anywhere in the country. If we aren’t offering a suitable date, please get in touch as we are regularly scheduling additional courses.

What should I wear?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing as you will need to demonstrate some practical elements. For NPLQ and NRASTC courses you will also need to bring suitable attire for swimming and demonstrating skills in the water.

Will I receive a certificate?

Yes, upon successful completion of the course and associated assessments, a link will be sent out to a nominated email address to set-up a ‘Tah-Dah’ account where qualifications can be downloaded.

How long is my qualification valid for?

AQUATIC RESCUE QUALIFICATION and AED/DEFIB – 2 Years

All First Aid Qualifications – 3 Years

What if I am unable to pass the assessment?

We will always try to give you the best chance of a successful assessment however, if circumstances mean you are unable to complete your qualification at the end of a course, we will offer you the opportunity to retake the assessment at a mutually suitable time and date. (This may incur an additional assessment charge).

Do I need to attend every day of the course?

Yes – you need to complete all the scheduled contact hours, to meet the requirements of the qualification. There are some exceptions where candidates are renewing an existing qualification such as NRASTC and NPLQ, please ask for further details.

Why train with Pure Training Services instead of an online course?

Our trainers have a passion for teaching and improving lifesaving skills whilst offering a cost effective, tried, and tested service.

It is our core belief that candidates undertaking courses of this nature, benefit from a hands-on, practical approach to learning whilst gaining invaluable skills to be used in a real-life situation.

“Unfortunately, my youngest child choked on a sweet this morning and I literally grabbed hold of him in a split second, encouraged him to cough, gave him one back blow and it was sorted within a few seconds. This was because of the confidence I now have after attending First Aid courses with Pure Training. Thank you ever so much for all your help and support.”
